Our Purpose

Northside Baptist Church exists to glorify God by seeking to Exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, Empower His Church, and Engage the culture with the gospel in our community and around the world by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I'm thinking about visiting Northside. What information should I know?

Our service and activity times are listed on the home page. We offer Bible groups before the worship service for all age groups to help build relationships and disciple one another. Please feel free to contact us using the button at the top of the page if you have any questions. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we get. We look forward to seeing you soon!

What can I expect?

Our #1 goal is to glorify God in all we do. Bible Groups are available to help empower Christ's church for the work of engaging the culture in our community. Our worship services are designed to Exalt Jesus Christ as Savior & Lord, through Christ-centered music and expository preaching.

What about teaching?

We offer Bible Groups at 9:15 every Sunday morning before the worship service and discipleship classes each Wednesday night for youth and adults. Check out the schedule by clicking 'here'.

What should I wear?

Wear what honors the Lord. We believe we should always offer our best to the Lord and recognize that looks different for everyone. Be comfortable and modest.

What about my children?

Children are important to us and we love to have opportunities to teach them about our Holy God and the love of Jesus through Bible groups. We encourage parents to have their children with them in the service as they learn and grow together and can talk of what they learned afterwards. A nursery is available for parents that need assistance caring for their youngest children during Bible groups and services. The security of your child is of utmost importance. Children must be checked in and out from the nursery by a parent. A coded badge will be given to each parent that identifies their child.

Do we have a target group?

Many church growth strategies recommend targeting demographics that are just like you. We do not believe this to be a biblical picture of the church. Our goal is to be a church that ministers to all whom the Lord brings to us. We truly want to be 'the body of Christ' from every tribe, nation, people, and language. We are committed to making disciples among peoples as Christ commanded us!
